97 VS Ute
Got a 97 Vs Ute with the v6 and and have an ls1 to put in it.
Just wondering what things to look out for in the conversion aka. Engine mounts, wiring, computers, gearboxes if anyone has any recommendations and or photos of the process, it’s a column shift auto with the bench seat and would love to keep it that way has anyone on here done it?

Any info appreciated cheers

Not much help but have a chat to Castlemaine regarding engine mounts

Edit. Once you have added up all the costs involved have a look at a VU SS. You might find it's a lot cheaper to buy one of those. When it's all added up you will still have a v6 with an LS.

I got some conversion parts for sale.
It all went into storage and got water damaged so I'm selling it cheap.

I used muscle garage conversion kit in mine. All bolted together easily.
you will need to sort a wiring loom for it, have a tail shaft made & have your exhaust modified.
fuel system is straight forward using a c5 filter / regulator in a dead head system.
if you know how to swing a spanner it’s pretty straightforward
