They're identical. So no. You may need spacers, which are illegal, or you can just go for coilovers.

to fit 20's, go to a holden dealer, order struts for a crewman, the go to king spring dealer and order front springs 20mm lower than current. then fit struts to vr/vs commodore, then fit 20" wheels, then obtain engineers report - making them legal in your state.

nah my mate has 20's on his. never been hassled by the cops and yes they fit. 18's would fit no problems.
