VE SSV Z
Hey everyone, time to show off my new(ish) ride :)

Model: SSV Z Series
Year: MY12.5
Km's: 57,000
Transmission: Auto/Tiptronic
Colour: Black
Standard Z Options: Sunroof, FE3 suspension, Z Series badges, 19" alloys, extra shiny chrome bits, Brembos on front, Reversing camera
Engine: 6L V8

List of things to do

Sharkfin aerial
Brembos on rear
I want HID's but don't think its worth the risk
15-20% tint with a upper windshield banner
Swap out exterior bulbs for LEDs to give a more modern/new look
XX plates
Get all black plastic exterior bits in gloss black
A subtle stripe down the bottom of the doors like on the VF's
Clear bra for the whole car to protect the paint
Flow coat but not sure if it can be done on older paint
Exhaust to be ordered soon
When its payed off and I have the money I'd like to Supercharge it

Here is a couple pictures for a start

At the dealer

And at home

So far Im so impressed with the fuel economy, getting 12.5L/100

Things I'm not too fond of
  • Handbrake is horribly cheap, feel like I'm gonna break it
  • Having a sunroof means you can't have the Sunglasses holder
  • Can't see the headlight switch when driving
  • Not full electric seats on a car that was almost $60k new
Thanks for reading :)

Very nice. Have some fun with the mods, once you start it opens a whole new world.

I definitely agree with you on the handbrake lever.

So got the Catback on today.. Mild steel 2/1/2".. the best price for a custom one I could get... and I'm far from happy...

My ears are bleeding from the droning and it sounds like a straight piped alloytech....

AND the guy put a F#cking sticker on my back window.. Will never go there ever again

Should have just went stainless from the start

2007 ssv manual
Exhaust wise I reckon ya can't go wrong with a 2.5 inch xforce stainless cat back, have one on my 2007 ssv (manual) and it has zero drone it sounds good when ur up it but when cruising it's almost dead silent and that's without any catylic converters either (I'm in NZ)

X-Force seems to be hit and miss quality wise though, I think its just the fact that its only a catback and is mild steel. The AFM makes it pretty bad too. I reckon Ill just cut my losses and go back to stock and save for a full system. The guy did offer to put some resonators in for me so maybe Ill try that first. Probably buy one from Abba
