I need your help. I'm replacing the entire latch mechanism (the button you press to open the tailgate - it comes with the lights and everything). I'm on the last stage but can't work out how to remove the switch housing from the chrome moulding - is it glued in (see photos). Advice?

I too wanting to know the answer to this as I want to re wrap the chrome and want it to tuck under switch

The two stud looking things on the black section are actually bolts that secure the touchpad housing to the chrome mounding. Get a 6mm (I think) socket and unscrew the studs gently. The black housing will slide out from the chrome mounding with a bit of wiggling. Be gentle with everything because it's really brittle, especially when reinstalling the 10mm nuts through the back of the tailgate…
