my mum
Just read a thread on LS1 forum someone got a defect for rolled guards. Check it out I couldn't be bothered reading the whole thread, (4pages).

You can get defected for anything, I wouldn't really worry about rolled guards.

Yeah! so 20x8.5 front and 20x10 rear... or 22x8.5 front and 22x10 rear..... would these fit? has anyone on here done this before? and what offset?

Yes, they will fit. If you really want 10in rears, you may have to roll the guards, otherwise 9.5in are fine. Not sure about the offset, but it has been covered here before..

Wouldnt +50 bring them in too far? Isnt it the higher the number the further in they go? Ive been told I need to roll the guards either way but +35, +40 now +50... I wish I knew how to measure my car...

Thanks Davey,

Its just made it more confusing now though...
what is the offset for VE's? my HSV wheels are 20x8.5 48p front and 20x9.5 56p rear but I swear when I looked at Dad's SSV rim it was 19x8 36p?
People keep saying it depends on what offset you have whether it scrubs or not.. But what is that offset for:

1: 20x10 rear and 2: 22x10 rear??? Does anyone know that exact offset lol!

And then would the offset be different for the front wheels?

At this stage im looking at 22x8.5 +40 front and 22x10 +40 rear :S but then im being told +36 rear - +56 rear!! ARGH!!!!!

Still can't answer your question sorry, but I don't see why the correct offset would be any different between 20's and 22's.

I mean, the overall rolling diameter would still be the same or nearly the same right?

if your lowering your car and wanting 20x10" wheels on the rear it will scrub if you make it close to the guard, grab a flashligh go to your rear wheels and look under the guard next the the rear bumper you will see a mounting point there for your bumper that point scrubs like a bitch when its lowerd and have peaple in the back in every bump you go on , i know this beacouse thats what hapend to myne, i now have the advanti tourers 20x9.5 with 5x120 ET +45 offest and no scurbbing

Can I fit 20x8.5 on the front and 20x10 on the rear or even 20x10.5 on the rear???

And also what offset would get me to the edge of the guards? would 40+ be ok or 35+?....

HSV wheels are 20x8.5 front 48p and 20x9.5 56p rear

we were talking about this earlier in the week in a thread called "roll guards"

welcome to the forum but learn to use the search option's and read some theards before repeating old topic's
