I want to wire up a second amp to run my subs, does the proper way to wire up the amp include running a new power cable from the battery or can I run one from my existing amp to the new one? Same question in regards to rem cable. Cheers.

Remote cable you can daisy chain.

Power depends on the thickness of the cable and also the amplifiers you plan to run, what size is your cable and what amplifiers are you planning to run?

5mm thick copper? There should be a measurement in gauge on the wire, if yours is 5mm in total diameter it is way too small. Check out the brand / size of your power cable before doing anything else

Too small, you'll need to invest in a thicker power cable, which is likely to mean a bigger fuse/fuse holder too. Then you will need some more cable for earths and a distribution block for the power.

I run 2 gauge from bat to distribution block and then 4 gauge to both my amps pulling 1300 watt's RMS and I've never had a problem, Rem cable you can piggy back

No, I'd add another cable to the same earth, or add another earth, or buy 2 distribution blocks, use 1 for power 1 got earth.
