hi guys i have a 2007 V6 3.6L omega sedan and ive been filling it right up and setting my trip and everytime it gets low on fuel
ive only driven just over 300kms i dont drive hard but i do up it sumtimesholden said i should get 11L per 100kms but on the
fuel consumption reading on my car it always sits at 17L is there a reason for this and is there sumway i can make it better

They tend to drink alot but check o2 sensors could cause more fuel consumtion. How many ks has it done

95,000 ive got a vt aswell what I get 600 to the tank just seems like it gets really thirsty even when im drivin like a granny

check o2 sensors could cause more fuel consumtion.

+1. Apparently if the O2 sensor is faulty, the ECU will cause upto 40% more fuel to be consumed to avoid damage possibly caused by leaning out.

I think you need to look at your driving style for your conditions. Oxy sensors do play a role but not that much. Smooth driving is the key. Lighten up on your right foot and you'll notice a difference. Its a heavy car that needs a whoof to get it going but you don't need to be the pack leader all the time.
Around 13ltr/100K's is the average consumption in traffic.

All that said doesn't mean everything mechanically is working properly and could be contributing some-what. Make sure your service and tune is up to date and your tyres are inflated, etc.

as already said, something not right... that's very low fuel economy.
depending on how you drive, should be almost double that.
