Hello, I have a 4L60e for my 304. The speed sensor is on the passenger side, however my wiring loom is for a driver side speed sensor. My question, What year model user's passenger side speed sensor and when did Holden change to drivers side speed sensor?
Also What can i do to fix my problem with the wiring not fitting the passenger side speed sensor?

Thanks

So what model harness & model auto you using?

There is vn/p th700 - vss sensor
vr 4l60e - 2 types of plugs or changeover point not 100%
vs 4l60e -has pin with extra plug 13?
vt 4l60e -different pinout configuration

Cant really swap auto as ecu or memcal wont run them which is often why it's said rebuild what you have of find correct auto for that ecu/harness.

Late 94 VR was the change in number of pins in trans plug, also required a different tune for VR. Yeah when I was looking at finding an 4L60e to rebuild trans builder said bad idea, three or four different auto transmissions just in VR and would have needed to rebuild mine as might not buy the right one.

13 pin tells us it's a later model VR transmission and this would be confirmed by the sticker (that although damaged) looks to read 5HBD. 5 is the build year aka 95, HBD is the code for a 4l60e to suit Holden 304 IIRC.

I can't remember exactly when or where but I've seem this problem before when someone was doing a transmission swap and they fixed the issue by swapping over the rear extension housing on the transmission but I don't remember what the 2 different transmissions were other than been 4l60e and/or possibly 4l60/700r4.

I would agree with that.
95 VS trans probably.
