Forced induction on a 6 will help it get moving along.

don't spend anything on your 6 unless you have deep pockets and don't want to see big gains

wait for an 8

How much more can you afford in fuel ? It's a dramatic increase if your like me and love flooring it from take off Wach the needle drop.also not as quick off the mark but sounds AWSOME .IF YOU LOVE THE SOUND AND LIVE AND DRIVE AROUND LONG OPEN ROADS WITH HIGHER SPEED LIMITS and have good cash flow or don't drive much go the 8 mate! If your living and driving inner city/suburbs regularly stopping and starting 'fast' and hard, you'll never have money. I get about 2 -3days driving around 300kms for $70 it's probably less than 300. But it's about the sound and feel of the torque that does it for me . It's my entertainment and hobby .love them! If I was deaf I'd have a 6 for sure tho. Instant acceleration zippy and cheaper. These days it's easy to customise your car to look as cool as v8 models and isn't so embarrassing as long as you don't put v8 decals all over and pretend its something it's not. I think a VE sv6 with ss gill vent things , lights , body kit, which is basically the same anyway, all the good stuff like leather sun roof rims and performance mods would be the way to go " IF I WAS DEAF!!!,!

Yes but not easily. Just get a late VN motor (top rad hose to front of motor type) or VP motor. There are plenty around and cheap as chips.
