99% polished out today - but for the deep scratches.

I guess I'm going to need to fix the rust by the back window and where the body has flexed after the repairs a few years ago. The rust is not getting smaller

Gotta do what you have to mate, It's a never ending battle with these cars.

Gave the wagon a cut n polish over xmas - it came up a treat. Even got a little more shine on the rear end after it was repaired a few years ago. Then fitted the stainless steel side stone guards I had made up 20 years ago when the car live in the dessert. Not sure about them yet but will see. Photo later

Added the new old stone gaurds we had on the wagon many years ago.

We love the colour - saved it from the knackery for sure when hit by the Toyota a few years back.

The wagon un official nic name is Phoenix

Lesson to all about carparks. Even tho the car has aged well and is old enough to stay in car parks alone - you can't stop them from having sex with the car park pillars. I let the daughter take the car our and it cames home with the drivers door ####ed. Dropped 50mm down and forwards 30mm at the bottom hinge.

So the 88 wagon is written off again.

Daughter claims the car would not take reverse so she open'd the door to help push with her foot and it jumped into gear and BANG.

Far out. My youngest pulled off the right side of his front spoiler in a car park yesterday on one of the concete barriers.
