97 VS starting issues

1997 VS Commodore
Hi everyone,
I'm having troubles with starting my vs commodore.
When I first start it in the morning, it takes ages to start,, it turns over but it takes several tries before eventually starting. It seems to be getting worse.
But, once I've already driven it, it starts on the first or second try.
When it is on and running, it runs great, it's just the starting.
I've changed the spark plugs,, but not sure what else it could be.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Old fuel pump?

X2 on possibily fuel pump. From what I understand around 200k and the pumps are getting to the end of their life, especially if you run standard unleaded.

it'll be ur fuel reg leaking down overnight. So in the morning there isn't enough pressure to start straight away, which builds up with longer cranking.

I had same thing happen earlier this year, Fuel reg fixed the problem. Sometimes they can get clogged up & dirty. When took mine off it didn't even seem that dirty but new one fixed the issue.
