Hi there, had a quick search and couldnt find anything.

Quite often, the accelerator in my car (2008 Omega) will disengage whilst driving. By that I mean, I will have my foot on the accelerator then it will "become useless" which I then have to remove my foot and re press the accelerator for it to work again. Hope that makes sense...

Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

fly by wire, the accelerator pedal has a set of tracks inside and the arm wipes up and down giving a signal to T/B, you may have a dead spot or where the pedal sits more and is worn, possibly some dirt on it, you can clean with some contact cleaner and a soft pencil rubber to clean tracks, best to take out of car to do, unbolt/unplug remove it you should be able then to unclip cover and clean,
