Just purchased one of the new Lukey/Walker Australia - Products - Performance Air Filters
We'll see how that goes, don't expect to notice it but they are cheaper then a K&N and don't have the ****ty ass oil to clog everything.

I was under the impression the oiling on the K&N filters stops the filter itself drying up and splitting. It's more to keep the filter moist and lubricated.....

nah it's there to trap the dust, without the oil they don't stop anything. With the oil they don't stop much but without it, just no good

Ahhhh i see! Ya learn something new everyday then ey! Speaking of which i took the poddy out of my front bar today and gave it the K&N kit clean and oil.

I cleaned it once about 3 weeks ago, it was still pretty clean.

have done and it's fairly clean, apart from the crappy black oil......

What's "fairly" clean?, if you dont pass the white rag wipe test then the filter is no good

with mine being a s1 VN V6 and that big breather pipe coming straight out of the rocker cover into the TB mine's never going to pass the white rag test after 6 months. however the only crap in the TB will the oil that has worked it's way into the TB and i've been running K&N filters since i got it. got plenty of crap on the filter however
