Be careful with the wiring as I think (THINK) that the VE like VZ is Negative Earth. You will have to re-think the wiring to and from the relay.

Not sure what you mean here, negative earth is what all our cars have, except for some older british cars etc?

The contact in the steering wheel just makes a connection to the chassis so current can flow through the solenoid in the relay?

the only thing I can think of is that BenBoy was refering to the switching of the horn. The wire from the horn to it's relay is negatively switched...Perhaps thats what he was talking about?

i pulled my air horn kit out of the box....








then booked in with my auto sparky haha.

i put airhorns in my vy ss, all's i did was disconnect the 2 wires from the original horn behind the front bar, then mounted the trumpets n compressor underneath, then connected the 2 wires to the compressor.....hey presto.....im annoying my neighbours with gusto

i got to the stage of cutting my old horn off then was like. wtf now. and now i have no horn. im booked in for early next month though lol
