In both cases of self repair in this thread, I would probably gas them up, but you have to be careful.
You're meant to keep a log of all gassing and degassing, I can tell you this doesn't happen in most workshops.

This is why I made mention of the gassing side of things being done by a professional....So no questioning of that

The thread seems to be aimed at the home repair of an air con compressor so home spanner spinners can attempt to save themselves a few bucks....

Plenty of mobile AC guys to come around to degas in the drive.

With mine, I get as much crap done for him as I can. I make access as easy as possible. Bumper off, or engine bay components removed.

He just rocks up and it’s ready to work on. He loves it.
