I believe that stainless steel would be perfect for an NA engine's air intake plenum pipe.
Think of it this way, its like polishing the manifold, the air can flow easily, no ripples and poor angles to slow the air.
The stainless steel can be coated and insulated further to repel the heat if need be.
just my two cents, but if i ever change mine, ill use stainless steel.
