I think export Holdens were only sold under that name in NZ. Otherwise they were marketed as Chevrolets or Vauxhalls.

cost of making them will reduce dramatically due to slave labour overseas

I thought the new Commodore was being produced in Germany for the Australian market? The Euro must be waaay worse than I tought.

My 2004 VY 3.8L V6 Ecotec wagon is branded as a Chevrolet Lumina. But I bought it in the UAE.
Thought they got long wheelbase Statesman shells with Commodore interior and equipment for the taxi cab fleet.

VX II Acclaim Wagon.
Exports (except NZ) branded as Chevrolet because it's better known than Holden internationally.
......and now they won't notice when the 'Commodore ' doesn't come from here.

Commodore VY 3.8V6 2004 Cinza Turbina

right click and you see translate in the box same as you would copy and paste this is what he said
I do not know about the VY, but the VT at least was exported to South America as Chevrolets. I remember some photos from this forum a few years ago from a Brazilian owner of his VT / Chev. [/ QUOTE]
In Brazil the Commodore vy was marketed in 2003/2004 as Chevrolet

Caro amigo , Os Holden commodore foram importados pela GM do Brasil entre 1999 a 2012 , com logotipo Chevrolet modelo Omega CD ..... para substituir os Omega que eram fabricados aqui ( Opel - Omega )

Chevrolet Lumina Coupe S (Monaro CV6)

Same here - although mine is a coupe so is a Monaro CV6 with Chevy badges

Thought they got long wheelbase Statesman shells with Commodore interior and equipment for the taxi cab fleet.
I've never seen a car such as that being used as a taxi here in the UAE - the vast majority are Toyota Camrys. We did get the Statesman - badge as the Chevrolet Caprice.
