Plot twist: I don’t have the time to do a project like this.

Step 1. Buy car
Step 2. Vacuum interior
Step 3. Remove seats
View attachment 225556
Step 102. Dismantle car
Step 349. Detail clean coil loom with toothbrush.

Most would have Step 4. Put seats back in and never look to closely again.

Your commitment and attention to detail is commendable. Along with the sharing, this will be an all time JC best thread.

• Ghetto clean injectors @wannaeatyourbrains style.
• cam sensor seal
• oil pressure sensor
• Rocker Cover seals and make sure oil vapour ventilation is good.
• Diff breather extension

I was about that age when I started helping Dad work on cars.
Most of his friends had English vehicles, Austin's, Morris's etc.(mid, late 60's)
Learnt my first curse words back then, mostly "Fcuking Pommie Sh1t!" :D

I know how you feel there. In the time that I don't have I restore old Brit Bikes. I have 47 Model J, 53 Meteor and 40s Flying Flea that I also commonly refer to as Fcuking Pommie Shite - especially the Whitworth nuts and bolts!:)

I still have a full set of Stahlwille BSF/Whitworth spanners and sockets, and BA 1/4dr sockets...

So this arvo the kids were playing (it was nice and warm for a change) and I pottered in the garage.

Detailed the coils, coil frame and looms.
So much gunk on them. The coils are like new now.

Used a microfibre after dismantling. Wiped them down. Then Aerospace 303. With that, a clean microfibre and a tiny toothbrush I got the loom and everything super clean. The 303 got the caked up grot off the wires and now the wire colours exposed on the ends are like new. Super clean. I cleaned the plugs out with CO Contact cleaner.
All bolts were cleaned with a toothbrush and brake cleaner, then given some aluminium epoxy.
I detailed some bolts on Monday. Pssst, psst, pssssssssssssssst! Done.

Only if I can move the Ferrari to get to the Lamborghini and move that out the way to make room for the Porsche to get through. Then I’ll be able to park the Rolls Royce in the garage and try out my Rolls Royce Spanner.
