Thanks. they're selling for $472. But if I can get away with a regrind for $300 I might go that way.
Not saying that Crankshaft Rebuilders can't do the job, but $172 (maybe) isn't a lot of money in the scheme of an engine, particularly for such a stressed and embedded component. Why would you risk the integrity of a component like that for $172? Not to mention the insurance against the stupid amount of effort and time wasted alone of build and tear down and rebuild if it does go.
