A simple search will reveal a lot :)

However I think the relevant clutch bits for the VT may be hydraulic, which complicates things a little :)

Does anybody know if it's possible to rig up a T5 on the backside of a VT 304? I'm assuming there would be differences in the pedal positions on the firewall, although I could be wrong.

dont see why not, 304 is the same VN-VT so yeah...

Pedal positions is based on the pedal box so assuming you can find a VT manual pedal box, good luck, then you should be fine.

VT did use a hydrolic clutch setup, so, assuming you can find all the bits, it is possible.

aZk.

I would assume that the VT pedal cluster wouldn't be designed to work with a cable setup. It would have something similar to the brake booster setup on the engine side of the firewall.

I'm not sure if a T5 would even match up, but I don't see any reason why it shouldn't. All I know is that VT manuals were either the Getrag 5sp or T56 6sp. I'm not sure which trans was mated to the 5.7 though. Pretty sure you'd find the T56 on the LS1, and the Getrag on the S1 VT with the 304.

You're probably best off grabbing all the manual bits from a similar series VT V8 :)
