Hey guys, Exploring job options and I am just wondering how much the average person earns yearly. Would be much appreciated if someone could help me out. Thanks heaps.
Im sure theres some official stats somewhere, but in my experience ur average retail job is around 40k, tradie 50-60k, and anyone with a uni degree would be selling themselves short working for less than 65k.
i'm a tradie painter working for a cheap ass company earning 1520 a fortnight after tax...... but on the flip side i get 2 rdos a month and do next to nothing lol
I'm a plastering sub-contractor and my gross pay varies year-to year (dependent on how much work is on). Last year I turned over $106,000. Don't forget that I supply all my own materials and I don't get holiday pay, sick pay or super. The figure looks good on paper but after my expenses it's not that great.
Also factor in your age. Been junior (under 21) the pay is ****. I am fairly confident it's 75% of the award wage of been over 21. All i know is i am 20 and i am on 27,500 and year and it is balls. BUT i am applying for the police force so i have that to look forward to in the upcoming month
