I see body control modules for sale for commodores and they are noted as low mid or high .
Can someone clarify the meaning of these terms .
Thanks

The different models of a Commodore.

I, myself have never heard of a mid series. For example, some Commodores either have Cruise Control and/or ABS (high series), other's don't (low series).

low bcm's handle basic functions like the security system lock/unlock, key remotes, interior/exterior lighting, wipers etc etc.
mid level bcm's are usually the same as low level ones but with a few extras like power windows and were a common on upgraded executive models like acclaim's
High level bcm's typically add climate control, upgraded alarm system, electric antenna and other luxury items, normally found in berlina/calais

I've got a 97 VT SS. It has ABS, cruise control, electric drivers seat, electric antenna, but no lazy windows and my BCM is a low series.
