Sorry for the late reply guys, just having some complications in my personal life and haven't been on here.

looks the goods there Ben.lots of potential. if you need any help on how to do the clay bar/polish side of things let me know, have had quite a few years experience with that side of things.
good luck
cheers
warrick

Thanks mate, over the weekend I went over the whole car with a clay bar and the paint feels so much more smoother now. I then went over it with polish, and I am glad I did. It rained today and the car was parked outside, looks like the rain never even touched it, no water marks or anything, looks great!

Stock VZ intake is actually better then VT-VY and doesn't really need changing. No one could guarantee I would see any benefit at all switching. One thing I did look at was the VCM side pod as in my opinion OTR sits on a hot radiator heating up the incoming air. Could be all BS but makes sense to me.

Yeah that's just the intake that came with it, will probably end up changing it but have a couple of other things I need to get done to it first.

Hey mate nice ride you've got there. Wheather or not you decide to go OTR with your intake I would consider keeping the maf for a few reasons. They're not really a restriction the bigger vz maf sensors, some cops may not like it not being there if they know what to look for, maffless tunes cost more and the maf is a good bit of gear on a relatively stock engine for sensing air temps and what not.

When I had my VE SSV, it still had the maf sensor with the vcm otr, might end up just going with the same setup as that, was happy with how that went!

Looks good mate! Suprised it came with the factory GPS!

I know! that's one of the reasons why I got it as well, don't really see too many of these with the HBD GPS anymore.

Yup 2 hole mod and she will be more then enough.

Haven't heard of that one! Will look in to it.

Its not factory sat nat its the HBD option. Nice car cant believe they didnt bother to clean the engine bay

Sorry my mistake, will update that on the first post. It does have the HBD tag in the engine bay for GPS. Yeah I will give it a good clean as I get time, the whole car was never really washed as the owner of the car yard was driving it around until it sold. But I have given the exterior a clay bar and polish and she came up looking mint, very happy with the result!

By the way, I have now replaced the electric antenna with a brand new one, and have replaced a couple of other minor things that were damaged. All genuine parts used of course :)

Make sure you give it a good coat of wax as well (once you have washed it again and the paint is nice & clean) to protect all of your hard work.

UPDATE: Please check the first post on this thread as I have updated with work that has been done.

Haven't posted on this thread for a while and you were probably thinking that this thread wasn't going anywhere. Well I have been slowly getting things done and this is where she's at now :)

Lowered on Pedders Suspension all round.

Very tidy and clean ride.
Any plans to put the engine covers back on? Always found the LS motors to be really messy without them and they do make it seem a bit more on the neat side.

Thanks mate :)

Engine covers are definitely already back on, only took them off so I could clean them and the engine properly. I like how it looks better with the engine covers on. Will take more photos of how it looks soon!

Here are more photos, just one of the engine with the new headers and engine covers back on, and one of the new Blaupunkt Headunit.

Now thats how you make a modify a car looks perfect. Only thing it needs is the cover on the radiator shroud to hide the radiator cap
