best cam for torque

hi i have started a thread in vl section by no replys as this is the vz 6ltr section i will ask here

i have a vl with a l76 conversion just after a cam that has torque down low good mid not after high hp big numbers

my set up is TRY-Y 1 3/4in 2 1/2in exhaust standard vl diff gears which are 3.08 the car is the t56 man

help with cam ideas plz will look to put 3.7 diff gears as high driving will be done

My mate bought his cam from them and had it shipped to Sydney where it was fitted by Castle Hill Performance.

They don't make cams there so you won't be stepping on toes if you take a cam to them and have it fitted.

They removed the engine fore him fitted the cam and did a few hot/cold dyno tunes for about 3k

Dale @ castle hill will recommend the LS2 stock cam for torque

and some members on LS1.com.au have gone well into the 11's with this cam and supporting mods, although I'm not sure it will have that 'cam' sound

yeh best just call a few places hey i will give both them a call see what they say cheers but if anyone else has ideas please share

232/236 way to big and 220/220 not good enough with those heads

you want something like 219/227 <-large split with big lift, that will be torquey

yeh was looking at the 219/227 0.610 0.617 112 looks good down low 1500/6700

will look at this turbo killer cam cheers hey other thoughs if you like
