Humble beginnings

Cleaned up the car, after it served a hard life as family sedan.

Found some leather seats for 400 dollars in great condition but they really aren't that great, not all leather seats are created equal :/

Got a awesome mate of mine to detail the car.

Nothing much to see here, debadged the Poverty Pack Emblems hehe

Its hard to maintain, but man do I love Vespers Blue

New Wheels but looking really rough :bang:

VY Calais Front conversion under way

Glory Shots

Finally, the pesky black door moulds are off and Calais ones are on.

Calais Rear bumper on

Just editing some Great Ocean Road shots. Hopefully have them up soon.

Thanks Rayh,
Got some black BBS hub caps today, will have some shots of them up soon.
speak of Hubs, thinking of replacing my ABS hubs/hub bearings all around soon, given the cars age and kms.

Just a quick update, took the intake off the engine, and changed the spark plugs, god knows how the previous owner took care of the car so I thought it best to begin with a bit of a service.

I messed up the vacuum lines which resulted in the vents not changing positions, but after a quick google and some experimenting got it all sorted. Surprisingly my reference images didn't help :/

Also changed the oil and oil filter. Also put some Castrol Edge 5w-30 in hindsight I think this was a bad idea as the car did make some ticking/clicking sounds from the lifters occasionally, I think next time I know not to trust oil manufacturer's websites and stick to factory specs, if the lifter noise comes back will be dropping the oil immediately and going 10w-40.The sump plug didn't play very nice, I presume someone may have taken a rattle gun to it. So I took a 13mm socket and hammered it over it. It was meant to be a 14mm socket, but that started to round it off. Anyway bought the correctly sized 15mm to replace it.
But eventually I got there in the end.

Hey mate, I used to run khrl 46sl but they used to make my guards scrub with my tyres so I switched to khrl 46slhd from the guys at GSl Rallysport.
