Hi Guys,

Have a strange issue.
I have a holden commodore vx2.

My blower fan works on all settings 1,2,3 and Hi
However the only air only comes out from the Demystifier setting from near the windshield.

When I switch the knob on other settings it still continues to come out from the Demytifier setting near the windshield.
The knob seems ok. Makes a click noise when I turn it.

Any ideas ?

You have a vacuum leak some where.
If there is little or no vacuum to the selector, the vent will automatically select this setting.
It's sort of like a default setting, if you like.
Check the hose on the back of the manifold for leaks or disconnection.

Thank you.
I assumed the same thing.

I checked the vacuum tude today and it was out. I put it in the correct place.
However the problem still persists.

I will go and check if there is vaccum leak somewhere else.
Is there an easy way to detect the vacuum leak ?

Are you sure it's in the right place and connected properly?

The way I do it is to get an incense stick and put it near the hoses.
If there are any leaks, the smoke will get sucked in.

Others have sprayed aero start, WD40 or similar around and if there is a leak, the idle will increase.

Also, ensure that the hose is not blocked.
If it has been disconnected for a while, some gunk may
have found it's way in there.

Hi Guys,

Looks like my hose on the back of the manifold is in good condition and not leaking.
Are there any other issues that may be causing this ?
