Nope.

Would need a motor to lift it a bit first.
Stronger struts would lift it quicker and might take you head off though.

On second thought I had a pulsar that would lift like that so maybe i'm wrong.

From what i can remember, The struts for the boot's that have the spoiler fitted, are stronger than the
standard ones. They may provide a little more lift, but not to the extent of them lifting the boot the whole way up.
It may be a case of having to have them made specifically for your application.

I have a spoiler and the single strut setup on each hinge and when not worn out they work well at opening the boot all the way up. Your's are stuffed and needs replacing with new ones, a cheap and easy installation.
The struts are the higher pressure struts for cars with a spoiler, including HSV models.
We purchased ours from the Gas Strut Guys $35.00 and $10.00 empress postage.

My car has a vx talon spoiler attached.

Does your boot lift by its self when you press the unlock button on the key?

I've never seen a VT/VX/VY/VZ open the boot by itself. Curious myself to see if anyone has figured this out (self lifting).

Maybe, or you could look into what the VK era cars used, I'm pretty sure they would pop fairly high with no struts at all.
