40c + here in Adelaide and am now having a hard time getting my boot on the sedan to stay closed.
It has taken 20 or more goes to get it to click? shut.
A real bugger standing in a shopping centre carpark trying to get it to stay down and shut.
(seems maybe related to a week of + 36c weather its never played up before)
Nothing has changed with the car no bangs or knocks etc so what gives.
Opens ok but refuses to stay closed ( and I have said many words to the fellow above with no joy).

Regards
Hot Fred

You can adjust the locking mech on the fixed side.. you need a 13mm socket if my memory serves me right.. just loosen.. and move it up a fraction.. and retighten

Hope that helps :)

OK thanks been out there in the heat and its already all the way up.
Have said many words to above again and got to say shut.
A trip to the local holden dealership perhaps as the extended warranty runs out at christmas.

Check the catch mechanism as these are made from cheap alloy type stuff and don't last forever. In my days I've had to replace a few on different cars. I don't see that hot weather could have anything to do with it, but stranger things have occured I suppose.

That seems ok one can move things backwards and forwards.
Seems a alignment problem maybe.
I dont want to really dissconnect the boot globe and try a occy strap so
will see what the tight local holden dealership says, which has given me nothing but
b/s on other issues such as leaking steering boots and until a pic was shown of dripping
fluid under the steering rack boot and on the driveway then the steering rack was replaced.

Thanks guys

regards
Fred
