brake light wire

i have bought a led exhaust tip and i want to hook it up to my brake light, once i disconnect the wires from the tail lights, there are 4 wires, lets say that the earth is at the bottom, which of the 3 at the top is the wire for the brake light???

If you have a test lamp or a multimeter you can test the remaining wires when you have the brakes on and lights off. You can use a 12 volt globe as a test lamp.

The wire you want is blue with a red tracer.
