Hi, I have a 2005 VZ Equipe with 34K on it. My problem is a bit strange so bear with me while I explain.

While going down a slope with slight brakes on, if I apply more brake due to a speed bump, it seems as if the brake slips while going over the bump. I also hear a "kadak kadak" metallic kind of sound. Has anyone else experienced this on their rides?

Thanks!
Anu

yeap. ive had the same thing happen. it is very infrequent with mine, and i have also noticed it while using the brakes at very low speeds. it almost feels like the ABS is kicking in, but its alot more harsh.

(mines an 05 VZ S ute)

Thanks for your responses. I have only faced this while going down a slope (between 10 - 30kmph). Is this something to worry about? When I mentioned this to Hunter Holden, they said it must be the ABS which causes a kick-back. However, it is the metallic kadak-kadak noise that concerns me. Should I be worried about brake failure or is this something thats just there?

btw, (for Sydneysiders) have a great long weekend! I am off to the Blue Mountains for a trip.

Ciao
