Well. This has a nice twist to it.

Old mate here, trying out brass on the back end of the BMW exhaust.

The resonance of the brass has brought something to the bin fire of exhaust theories.

I like not only the look, but the difference in note the brass tips on the stainless pipes offered. Reduced drone. Just sounded a nicer note.

Of course, this guy is playing a game of fk around and find out, but he is doing his best to record and approach it objectively.

I wonder what a brass exhaust would sound like in a more substantial part of the system?

Edit: Son of a biatch has it set to a YouTube only link. Soz. Worth a watch though.

Would be interesting to see if someone fucked up and had massive drone and then could resolve it in some small way with brass tips.

Watch this thread turn into an internet fire of theories. I also predict some random post is added in five years from some muppet wanting a question answered about an exhaust on a V6.

Just the tip.
Yeah if you reckon that's all it needs to pass,is the brass like cats and soak up all the bad stuff? How often do you have to clean your tip???

And clean up the welds... ;)
So go a full brass system with braised joints and the tip? What about a copper?we don't use that much hot water up here I could get a few lengths and get real nice flowing bends

.I've seen your cutting methods, so getting those bends will be difficult
