at the end of the day, sponsorship is what keeps the sport in action, and I am sure we would all be a whole lot more pissed off if we the news was Bathurst will not run next year due to lack of finance. It's no difference to every bloody footy stadium changing name every year (Patersons stadium, simonds stadium, metricon, skoda, bluntsone, TIO, aurora, the list goes on) .
It's just a peice of road, surely you all got better ways to remember the man, go plant a tree and dedicate it to him. I'm sure even he would see that irony.

I took this photo in late 2009 as I knew then that plans were in place to use this as prime advertising space..

IMO this was the most genuine display of "The King" & Holden to date, a true testament to Mount Panorama..

Yes mate sure has but it's a cool pic that relates directly to the subject at hand
