Brock's Skyline to be renamed Dick Smith Skyline at Bathurst

Following his death in 2006, nine-times Bathurst winner Peter Brock was honoured by Mount Panorama track management:
Now named ‘Brock’s Skyline’ after the legendary Peter Brock, Skyline is a sharply descending right hand corner which signifies the beginning of the descent from the top of the Mountain.
But in 2012 that corner bears another title:

Just a quick point though, Dick Smith electronics has nothing to do with Dick Smith anymore, Woolworths own it I think? Its not him to blame, its them. Money wins again I guess, this is just wrong.

Disgraceful. Though I suspect that Dick Smith have bought themselves a backlash. Considering people who are not car nuts generally don't watch Bathurst which means the only audience for this advertising would be car nuts. And I don't care if you're from the Holden or the Ford camp, this will leave a bad taste in everyones mouth.

I'll probably get absolutely flamed to hell for this but eventually people are going to get over the dead and their memory will slowly fade away with every memorial that gets removed. Bound to happen sooner or later, even to Brocky. At the end of the day the V8 governing body is just a slave to the almighty dollar.
