Broken Passenger side mirror

I drive a VF 2013 calais V

I was driving to work this morning and a bird decided to play chicken with my passenger side mirror and lost !!

The cover popped off and was destroyed by the car behind me.

Do I take it back to the dealership to get a new cover or claim it under insurance ?

If it is only the mirror heaps cheaper to just buy a new mirror.

It will cost me $23.20 for the cover
