Not heaps. The subs need to be low profile and the liner stepped up slightly above the metal to make sure the magnets have a gap to the outer skin. There is a good amount of 12mm MDF behind each one independently fastened to the frame, and lots of deadening placed around the tailgate. Cables though the flexible conduit was simple enough but be careful to not tear it. Its a bitch to replace! Oh, and you will need to up gas the struts. The standard ones wont keep it up once the subs are in there. And, you will probably also need to tighten the standard fit catch and rubbers settings to make sure the catch doesn't rattle under heavy usage. With all that done they work VERY well. How much stuffing around did you have to do to get the subs in the tailgate?
