They said price isn’t negotiable

Oh well
I’ll look around for a private seller , seen 2011 ssvs go for 15k but hard to find one with low kms for that price
Most of them have been thrashed

Sit back on that one, and have a look elsewhere. You may well get a call back from that dealer with some special offer that wasn’t available when you visited. (But they again, you mightn’t - so keep looking).

Victoria has a lot better selection of ssv's and redlines than any other state on carsales. You shouldn't have too much trouble picking one up within your budget. I would definitely not bother with the dealer who jacked up the price.

For that money have a look at a redline. Better brakes and suspension. My 2012 ve had to have the front struts replaced, apparently it is a problem with ve's.

I just did my front struts a few weeks ago, a Very Common Problem I also heard.
I put Gas struts in, not sure I like them, as the ride is a bit harsh, and you can feel every bump in the road,
but they recommended them for the VE's.

What is the problem with the struts you mention?
