Guess im just lucky, I only payed $4200, the only thing wrong is needs new rims and has a few stone ships and that, but I aint worried for a 14 year old car.
Also has full leather and extractors.

QUOTE (death-from-above @ Jan 29 2004, 02:46 PM) You will save money if the items are already on the car but then again a driver with lots of mods is likely to either treat the car like its a burn out machine or love it and take care of it, i just hope for your sake its the latter.

Oh by the way i have a VL for sale
Really? What is it?

I've basically given up on the turbo idea, which is a shame, but I figure if I'm really desperate one day I can stick an RB30ET in it myself.

Okay, before I pretty much limited myself to a manual, and a calais or a berlina. I would really love a Calais, but 5sp's are rare and I'm not confident I'll found one decent enough in my price range. I suppose I could go with an executive, considering most 5sp's are in them. Can someone please tell me what are the main difference between the Berlina and Exective? I know with Berlina's you get the darker tail lights and vinyl (as opposed to cloth) but is there anything else i should be looking for?

Also, I detest auto's and manual conversions are too expensive (and like a downgrade if you think about it), but is there anything i could do to an auto if I was to get one?

thanks again guys

Sorry to break the bad news but 5 spd's are fairly rare in anything that doesnt carry a Turbo or HDT/HSV badge.

A manual conversion, whilst it would be better avoided i grant you that, would not be too much of a headache in a VL. Im tired so im not gonna spat on the details right now but yea, like I say not hard.

Mike.

PS: Good choice of car, we'll make a true bloke of you yet

Interesting...

My cousin got quoted $1300 for a manual conversion in his auto VK. I just figured it would be similar for a VL. How much would I expect to pay?

That might have something to do with the fact they never made a VK Turbo
We are talking VL here.
