Before you decide on any vehicle at auction, pull the dip stick and check the oil, if it looks milky there's water present, if it looks black it hasn't been regularly serviced, if there's water damage anywhere it's probably been flooded at some stage, if there's red dust it's likely been thrashed throughout the outback, remove the coolant cap and check that the coolant is a bright orange colour - anything different is likely to not comply with Holden's requirements and the engine may have suffered corrosion etc as a result, make sure that ALL electrical components function correctly, make sure there are no error codes showing, look at the tyres and check them for any uneven wear etc, etc. Good luck.
