i am useing a 228 at 230 at 571 comp cam in my wifes vx ss it mad 375 rwhp on a safe sune rev limiter set at 6800 it has 3 grand converter 39 diff gears extractor twin 3s otr air flo ran 12.7 at 109mph street trim,,im hapy with that .now puting ls6 l98 ported heads on and ls6 manifold port match should make power to 700o ,god nos what it wil do to the power figer and times but carnt wait and a 3800 converter to get a harder lounch ,

LS6 and L98 heads are completely different
and the LS6 manifold wont bolt to L98 heads you will need the 90mm L98/76 manifold

yes u r write i look in to it they dont fit so iv sent my heads in to get ported should just over 300cfm sould sort out some power iissues ,,dose any one no if the vx ss 2002 ls1 manifold r difrent to a standed ls1 manifold

VX on have the LS6 manifold
which is slightly better then the LS1 manifold

just wondering u people that have this cam how many km do u get to a tank i find mine gets about 350 to 380 to a tank .be 4 the cam i got 500 km to a tank

Is it just me or should this be going better than that?

Ive got that same cam, and did 12.4 @110 with 1900kg on board with 3.07's with std ls6 manifold and std hsv extractors and twin 2.5". Also has 238rwkw convertor unlocked.

same cam as you, average about 420-450km with a 4500 convertor. Have done 730km to the tank on the open road from my house to bendigo.

does say it has a safe tune, maybe in the way its been tuned for the rev limiter maybe?
