My mates car ( 111oud) made 445.8 with a stock clutch and it was slipping. It's the 232 234 with Joel prince tuning it.

I'm going to assume you mean 445.8rwhp.

I've got a similar size cam, heads, OTR, tune and got 335rwkw or 449.2rwhp.

That's a good number and yea your right so that's two cars with the same cam so now he has a good ballpark as to what he can expect. Hairy had stock heads.

He also found with this cam he made better numbers with twin 2 1/2 than the twin 3 inch

Yeah, I've got the x-force system which has the massive restriction @ their badly engineered merge point. Hoping to get a manta system on her down the track and should find a few more kw.

Nice car too jesterarts.

Cheers mate. ;)

Funny you say that they were both xforce systems.

I'd say with the xforce that merge would be the cause of this sort of situation...

After the merge in the 3" system there would be more turbulence and the scavanger affect would have been severly compromised.

I think HP-F did a test running a decent twin 3" against a decent twin 2.5" and they essentially showed no performance change.

Though interesting to keep in mind. When buying xforce, go for the twin 2.5" for better performance.

But to contradict my self I got massive gains when I changed from a custom 2 1/2 to the 3s but I did change from try ys to 4into 1 soooooo my thoughts are the a lot depends on the car and condition of the engine as to the end result. Well i ran 11.4 at 119 so the twin 3 inch x force so it carnt be that bad. Just my thoughts but in the end don't go any smaller than 1 3/4 long pipes if you want to extract the best from any cam swap. I think we may have hijacked this thred slightly but every thing counts with These engines as they are so sensitive in the hunt for power.
