I have a 2010 VE with the LLT motor which has spun a bearing, I'm trying to get it running for next to nothing but 2nd hand LLT or LFX are pricey. I can get a running LY7 out of an older VE for cheap. Would the LY7 internals fit in my LLT block to get me going (Not worried about a bit of power loss) I understand the LLT has the oil squirter below the pistons as the LY7 doesn't, And the different piston heads - does it matter?

What are your thoughts, has anyone done this?

So you want to rebuild your LLT with the LY7 internals....

The only saving if any is, you're not paying to have the crank reground....

Just rebuild the LLT...
