Interesting. I have a perfectly shaped carbone fibre spine board that'll easily take your head off and it won't shatter.

If you rear ended someone, hard. Would they simply shatter or stay in tip top condition and possibly decapitate you?

I think they would be much more likely to shatter than stay intact and decapitate you. I agree with wild vs clubby, you wont find a carbon bonnet for $600, and it woulld be at least a couple of grand.
