Someone French needs to settle the pronunciation once and for all.

Wait! I know someone French! Well. Mauritian. They speak-a-da-French. I’ll ask her.

…not right now though. Next week.

The way scotty says Chassis as "shazzy" triggers me every time....is that a vic thing?

I guess though they are a weird breed of people that say dint and pronounce School/Pool as Skewl and Pewl.

:p

So I spoke with two French speakers.
One lady didn’t know what a chassis was because I was speaking Australian. When she wrote it down, she laughed and said the correct was of saying the word. The other (a former French teacher) smiled and pronounced it straight away.

“Sassy” in Australian.

The C is an S and the h is more quiet. S hassy. Sassy.

for f*ck sakes get it right
it"s shassieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
It is right. The word Chassis is French.
The French pronounce it as Sassy. (For want of a more refined way of writing it)
Of note is in the sixteen hundreds the word “sashes” (those in a window) was bastardised English version of Chassis. So the C (quiet H) was said as we say S (as in Circle) not Sh or Ch.

That last one shows how 3D scanning can transform build quality. Just amazing fitting parts 1st go, with mm to spare on clearance.
