ive just got a ss twin pipe on mine, didnt really sound like anything much in the car, exept when its under load, - and not just revving its tits off.

anyway i was out a lads from work house and i got him drive up the street and bugger me it has got a note. its not loud but enough to hear it.

it dosnt sound bad, just like a soft raspy v8ish kindof rumble, very subtle but nice.

I fitted a stock SS Thunder catback system to my wagon and it's made a noticeable difference in pickup with only a subtle note - might be worth looking into - most exhaust shops would simply throw stock SS systems out when people upgrade so would be happy to supply and fit one for next to nothing...

I'll add my 2c's...

I have a twin 2.25 on my 190, sounds great, would definitely recommend it. I'm getting Ceramic Coated Pacies installed in a few weeks, so looking forward to seeing how they go.

well i only have a 2.5 inch cat back on my 2006 exec
it is only a lukey straight through middle muffler and a rear resonator
i think it sounds really good
do pacemaker headers do much for the sound and how much can i pick up a pair for installed.
its been a year and we still havent seen those videos from the best sounding twin 2.5

Well mate, that's how life is.
What they do is allow for better airflow to the exhaust. Ceramic ones allow for even greater flow, but there is a price difference. I've seen non ceramic on ebay for around $500. In terms of sound difference, I've heard someone say they give a minimal change, a tad deeper on a stock system, but I guess it's a different thing on your setup.
Also depending on whether you've got stock cats or not, it's a weld or bolt job.
If I'm wrong someone correct me, because all this stuff is what I've read off this site.

It's a genuine system, I've heard they come out on Commodores from factory, but I could be wrong....

It'd not a sports system though.

Yeah it's just an SS Exhaust. Twin 2.25 S/S I think.

Can get them ALOT cheaper than that... 2nd hand though.
