Thinking of changing out my black and white SV6 dash cluster for a red colour screen unit like ones available on Ebay from various sellers that were removed from SSV's. Has anybody changed dash cluster and if so is cluster easy to R&R? Cluster will come already VIN & KM matched.

All advice welcome
Thanks in advance

Anyone knows the answer to this as i wanted to do this ?

Curious if the data is stored on the cluster or ecu or something else
..

Also is each cluster matched to VIN ?

Basically everything in VF's is security linked to the car with the VIN. The clusters calibrations also need to be programmed to match the car otherwise you will get warnings on screen.

When programmed correctly, cluster odometer will automatically update to your cars true odometer reading when fitted.

I program these regularly so I know it can be happily performed :)

Do you by any chance enable performance menu on VF's ? Looking at getting this done on my SS ?

Sure do! I use a remote flashbox to do this remotely.

Plug it in, wait for it to go green, unplug and send it on back. :)

Just got performance menu done locally (Ballarat) on mine, dropped in, plugged in and done in a couple of minutes.
