I'd like to give the engine oil a change and I'm wondering do I need a special tool to replace the oil filter and how many litres of oil would I need for the VX.
The old girls done 225,000 klms so what grade of oil would you recomend.

You might be able to get it off by hand if it hasn't been overtightened, but a removal tool would be handy. I won't give an opinion on which grade oil because you will get so many differing opinions that you will be none the wiser.

Another member recommended I use 10w40 oil and as for the tool is the ratchet type with the sideways movement ok.
It was also recommended I do an engine flush but after checking this out on You Tube I'm just not that game.
How many litres of the oil do I need to purchase?

My oil leaks seemed to get worse after using engine flush.
You'll need 5 litres of oil.

Bang a long screw driver through it. That will give you the leverage to un screw it. That was my mate's old mans way and it works!!!!
Don't do it on the new one though. D'OH.
