Cold start up SV6 VF2

Hi folks, when I start up my auto SV6 cold, the motor revs higher (about 1200 rpm) which is normal, however after 30 seconds, the revs drop back to 600. Is this normal when cold? All cars I have owned, the revs stay higher for a lot longer while warming up. Is there a setting to adjust or is this just from factory? Thank you
