I've decided to do the head gaskets. I did the inlet manifold a few weeks ago. Then I got the radiator leak.
My question is...do I need to buy new inlet manifold gaskets - or is a couple hundred km's on them ok for a reuse if I scrape all the rtv off?
I just don't want to waste anymore money.

Get a radiator shop to Pressure test it for leaks and exhaust gases first , that way you arnt wasting coin on ripping it down for no reason if it's not losing pressure

Took it for a long drive. It was water in the exhaust. Now it's going perfectly.
Thank goodness I didn't do the head gaskets.
The gunk I had in my radiator fill bottle, and the brown coolant was, I think just zero maintenance for 30K Km.

Next time I get a sludged up Holden I'm just going to do a flush, fill it with Prestone inorganic coolant/inhibitor and get a couple of those GM pellets.

And not panic!
