When i bought my sv6 ute in winter it wasnt making any creaking noises..
Then going into spring/summer, had a couple hot days, and when i got in the car after work and all the interior was heated up from the sun, a weird creaking noise, like plastic on plastic or plastic on glass or what not started..
The noise sounds like its coming from where the end of the dash meets the bottom of the window, or behind the speaker on the dash and creaks as i go over little bumps, and then goes away once the interior as cooled down.
As its summer now, almost everyday is hot and the creaking noise is just becoming way too annoying :(
Has anyone else had this ?

It's normal. The dash is made up of so many cheap plastic parts that are all held together by cheap shitty plastic clips. You could pull it apart and fit anti-rattle tape but then you will probably create more rattles and squeaks and break some trim whilst your at it.

My advice, learn to live with it. It is a Holden afterall.

Get yourself some silicon spray. Spray small amounts along the joints where it is making the rattle.

Wipe off the excess/overspray. Rattles go away or become less noisy.

Meh, it's a Commodore...

Dry lube works better on panel squeaks i've found.

Oh yeh thanks for that guys. The dash would have been played with when i got my amp/sub fitted but im sure the creaking was before then.
Might try look around and pull some panels out and put some silicon spray on them and then see what happens..
It'll be a **** to live with tho :(

That"s how you get rid of squeaks, turn the music up brother!!!
You will be chasing creaks for ever in the Commodore, I had a creak right from when it was brand new, but I can't work out where it is from....
I found the Volume control got rid of it!!!
Otherwise, it will do your head in trying to find it.
