Provided your car is set up for it its fantastic - works great in my ute

Well, I can np... I know that the ethanol produces more bang, with higher consumption due 2 less energy dense, but I am in particular curious about the cleaning capabilities of the e85...

You think that would effectively reverse residue from valve backs and piston tops AND clean injectors? :idea3:

If then better off fueling e85 couple of times instead of buying fuel system cleaner

The only thing wrong with ethanol is that it has less power per litre than gasoline fuel, so at current prices it costs more to run e10 than 91.
It will help clean your engine yes.

I put E85 in my V8 when ever I go past a servo that sells it. It usually sells for about 20c a litre less than 91 and the fuel usage seems to be about the same. 35% less emmisions and it does seem to have a bit more go with E85.

So would a car that is capable of e10 be capable of e85?

Or what's the difference in terms of quality and cleaning potential,
As I have a 2009 sv6. And my intake is grubby as hell hate to think about the head.
Thanks
Guys

Unless you're tuned for E85 don't use it - your car will run extremely lean and die.

Does anyone know why the 3.6L SIDI wasn't tuned for E85 but the V8's and 3.0L SIDI was?
